THE MINDF*CK SERIES

by S.T. Abby

4/5
Dark RomanceThriller

Read: Jan 2, 2025 – Feb 18, 2025 (Books 1–4)

A female serial killer hunting down the men who destroyed her life while dating the FBI agent assigned to catch her. The PREMISE alone had me by the throat.

Book one — The Risk — was fantastic. The setup, the tension, the "she's the killer and he has no idea" dynamic was chef's kiss levels of dramatic irony. I was fully invested, fully hooked, fully unhinged.

And then… it kept going. Four novellas deep and the story was still going and my brain started checking out. Not because it was bad — it was GOOD — but it was just too long spread across too many short books. After book one, the details blur together into a haze of murder, deception, and FBI incompetence.

The concept? 10/10. The execution of book one? Phenomenal. The overall series experience? A little too drawn out for my attention span. But if you love morally black FMCs and want to watch a woman systematically destroy every man who wronged her while her boyfriend tries to solve the case? This is your girl.

🔪 4/5 stars. Great premise, great book one, just needed tighter pacing across the series.
