This is my all-time favorite book. Out of everything I have ever read. EVERYTHING. And I need you to understand the weight of that statement because I have read a LOT of books.

Dianna is my she-god. She is nasty. She is sexy. She is morally BLACK — not grey, BLACK. A thousand-year-old monster who was turned into an assassin-slave by the man who "saved" her, and she wears every scar of that like armor. She is not soft. She is not redeemable in the traditional sense. She is MAGNIFICENT.

And then there's Samkiel. An actual god. Isolated. Socially awkward. Golden retriever energy wrapped in divine power. Protective as FUCK. He has been alone for so long he barely knows how to function around people and watching Dianna teach him human stuff — modern things, social things, LIFE things — was the most unexpectedly tender dynamic I've ever read. These two HATED each other. The banter was FILTHY. The tension was suffocating. And when the spice finally started? SHE was in charge. A thousand-year-old monster dominating a literal god. YES.

But then. Her sister. The only thing keeping Dianna tethered to anything resembling "good." Killed. On live TV. By the same man who made her what she is. And Dianna went NUCLEAR. Full revenge arc. Full destruction mode. And poor Samkiel — this sweet, powerful, devoted god — just wanted his Dianna back. Watching him try to reach her while she burned everything down? PAIN.

The worldbuilding is insane. The writing is insane. The level of detail, the lore, the mythology Amber V. Nicole built from scratch — I could talk about this book for HOURS and still not cover everything. This is the book I recommend to everyone. This is the book I think about randomly and feel things. This is THE book.

🖤🔥 5/5 stars. My forever favorite. The one that ruined me for everything else.
